Shane at a project site with Robert Luongo, Craftmaster Founder
As the Director of Construction for 210DG I have had the pleasure of working with Shane on 3 projects. One of which was quite a challenge for both of our companies. Shane has always been fair and honest in his dealings with me. He is good at identifying upcoming issues and offering resolutions that minimize the cost and time impacts that may arise. Shane communicates well and is good about responding to my calls, texts or emails in a timely manner. Most of all, Shane’s integrity stands out as one of his best characteristics. I look forward to working with him on future projects.
I have been involved in many construction projects throughout my career so I feel I am a good judge of what makes a qualified builder. My experience with Shane Harrell is that he is a knowledgeable builder with a focus on the needs of the customer providing a quality product at the price and time he said he would. He was always available to answer questions, listen to my concerns, and go the extra mile to ensure he delivered on his commitments as well as the success of the project. If you are looking for someone who is fair, competent, and focused on ensuring a quality project, I would recommend Shane.
My husband and I gladly recommend Robert Luongo of Craftmaster Homes as a builder of high ethical standards, professional business management, and excellent quality of craftsmanship. We love our new home in the hill country and the building process was a positive one. To us, our home is as beautiful as we hoped for and shows off the high level of craftsmanship we wanted. Robert and his subcontractors worked well as a team and patiently helped us at each stage of our home building experience with a good balance of offering suggestions and listening to what we wanted. The bid materials and costs for upgrades were clearly outlined and we received good guidance and discounts through Robert’s suppliers. The management of the invoicing, payments, and bookkeeping was accurate and organized. We never had any worry about how our money was being spent. The site was somewhat difficult, but his architect helped us place and design the house correctly, the foundation work and concrete floor is excellent, and the carpenters, roof, wiring and plumbing, stone, tile, trim, staining and sheetrock workers gave us high quality work. We wanted a rainwater catchment system and Robert had the experience and connections so that our plumbing is working to supply us with clean, good-tasting water that is low-impact on the environment. Robert and his craftsmen were on-time, neat and did excellent clean-up at each stage and he has continued to be efficient and prompt in helping to correct the few items that needed adjusting after our home was built.

We had a need to build a detached writer’s studio. After finalizing the general design with Robert and his architect, we engaged Robert Luongo of Craftmaster Homes as the builder. This was a very good match. They both worked cooperatively and interactively to finalize a design which was not only meeting our needs, but resulted in the best site selection and was very buildable. The site is on a hill with a narrow driveway which posed a number of challenges for accessing the site. Robert considered the preservation of existing trees, the feasibility of getting construction equipment into the job site, and the seamless architectural integration of the new studio with an existing carport to which the new studio was attached. Robert recommended a pier and beam foundation to avoid the difficulty of having large concrete trucks enter the site. All this was managed smoothly and with no impact on overall schedule. Craftmaster utilized a set of well-qualified subcontractors all under the general supervision and demanding quality control of Mr. Luongo. The jobsite was kept clean and orderly and proper attention was paid to our existing property. Robert was personally involved with all aspects of the detailed design and construction, working very interactively with us on the details of paint colors, trim features, and final touchup. All professional and personal interactions with Mr. Luongo were very pleasant, and we would not hesitate to use Craftmaster Homes again.

To whom it may concern:
We considered many builders before we began the construction of our custom home. In the end we chose Robert Luongo, owner of Craftmaster Homes, LC. He gave us a fair priced, quality product.
Robert and his team of professional, highly skilled sub-
contractors and architects brought a lot of above average standards and personal skills to the task of creating our unique Hill Country home.
Roberts’ many years of experience guided us through the building
process and we were offered appropriate alternatives so we could make intelligent, informed construction decisions. This helped us stay on budget, while keeping with our objectives. We also found Robert to be thoroughly familiar with “green” products, such as, rainwater collection systems, which we installed and have enjoyed.
My wife and I are very pleased with the appearance and comfort of our place in the country on Lone Man Creek and would not hesitate to recommend him to you as your builder.

My wife and I are thrilled to be in our new home built by Robert Luongo of Craftmaster Homes and would highly recommend Robert as a first class builder in the Hill country. In our case, we thought we knew what we wanted and did not have a set of plans.
Robert connected us with an excellent architect and personally reviewed all phases of the design, providing key input and cost trade off options along the way. The communication and attention to detail by Robert and his contractors was obvious in every phase of the construction. The job site was always clean and well managed. We became very comfortable working with Robert and his contractors, who were professional,
experienced and prideful in their work.
On a more personal note, we got to know Robert well and came to agree that we could not have found a better builder for our home. In addition to possessing a wealth of building knowledge and excellent project management skills, Robert also has a keen eye for function and design. On several occasions Robert’s suggestions resulted in a great design and look.
Robert takes great pride in his work and it soon becomes quite obvious that he treats it as if it were his own. And for this we are most thankful and would be happy to answer any questions you might have in your search for the right builder.

I am very happy to highly recommend Craftmaster Homes. Robert Luongo(the builder) and I met to discuss a second home on my property I had bought in Wimberley. After meeting with several builders, Robert was the only one that would build to my budget and work with me on getting a quality home at an agreed upon cost. He never tried to talk me into upgrades that I didn’t need and guided me through all the selections that I made to stay within my budget.
Since the house was built (on time and on budget), several people have commented on what an excellent quality home I have. It was my first time doing something like this and I am so
pleased that I worked with Robert. I learned a lot about Robert during the time we worked together and his honesty and integrity still amaze me in the world of home construction and repair.
I believe I’m a good judge of giving and receiving value. I have provided financial products and services to banks and small businesses for 28 years. Most of my customers expect value. Value is what Robert Luongo at Craftmaster Homes provides. From the bid process to the slab pour, from the framing to the final detail, Robert welcomes your involvement through easy access to him. Laurie and I live 50 miles from our building site and both of us carry full time jobs. A large part of our value in Craftmaster comes from our trust in them doing the job with quality and attention to detail. We watched our neighbor’s house being built by Craftmaster. The quality and detail were exceptional. And the character added by Robert’s focus on wood accents helps set his building projects apart from the other builders.
We highly recommend considering Craftmaster Homes if value, quality, and detail interest you in your next home project. We did. And we made a great choice.
Robert, thanks for managing this important project for Laurie and me.

Robert Luongo of Craftmaster Homes was recommended to us by a close friend for whom he had built a home several years ago; in addition, he was suggested by the people at South River Construction. We wanted a well built, very well insulated, small and environmentally “green” home, with a rainwater collection system.
Robert worked with us closely on the final design and provided many ideas and proposals that we would not have thought of. His knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of different materials and design elements was very helpful to us in making decisions.
We highly recommend Robert as a general contractor to build a custom home. He is very knowledgeable, honest and reliable. He cares deeply about having the best possible workmanship in all areas. For us he built a small but highly energy-efficient home to our specifications, and did an outstanding job. He is always available during the whole process to discuss any questions or issues.
You are welcome to call us or to see our home by appointment.

Robert Luongo, Craftmaster Homes, builds exceptionally strong and beautiful homes. The building process was smooth and efficient, with Robert handling every detail with aplomb and good cheer. We made some changes along the way, and they were incorporated into the build seamlessly and with great skill. Robert is always courteous and respectful, and so are his crews.
We had great concern over cutting back trees and the vegetation surrounding the build. No problem! Robert solved this for us by bringing in concrete through a hose, and the trees were preserved beautifully, with minimal scarring to the land.
We had several decks and staircases in our design, and these were constructed to withstand heavy-duty usage and extreme weather. The entire house is so sturdy, ever though it is elevated (pier and beam); there is no wobble or vibration that can shake it. There was also a workshop built and with Robert’s keen eye and consideration, we were able to increase the ceiling height for very little extra cost.
We interviewed four or five builders in the Wimberley area, and Robert’s bid was well within our budget, and upon completion, the final cost was almost to the penny of the bid. He has a way of making things affordable and cost effective for both labor and materials.
In addition, Robert estimated that the work would take 120 days and he finished before the contracted amount of time. That in itself was amazing, given the details of the build, and the amount of coordination it took to bring crews to our remote area. Robert was always available to discuss each step of the construction and do walk-throughs with us as things progressed.
In short, we would hire Robert Luongo again, and can recommend his workmanship and ethic without hesitation. His company name says it all: Craftmaster!
Bill and Roberta Howell.
We highly recommend Craftmaster Homes if you are in the market for a quality, solidly built home that will last for generations. We got what we wanted, at the location we wanted, the floor plan we wanted, and we were part of the decision making for everything from the driveway to the roof. We could not be happier. Our builder, Robert Luongo, was in constant communication with us, on site, via e-mail and phone.
Robert is a true craftsman who is concerned about every detail of every home he builds. His subcontractors were the best, and the quality control is obvious. We are now the proud owners of a custom built Craftmaster Home.
If you want a one-of-a-kind home built to your specifications you need to talk to Robert Luongo. He was very honest and straightforward with us. His reputation and his word are very important to him. You can count on him to do the job right, on time, on budget, with no surprises.

My wife and I have owned land for a long time in the Hill Country utilized mainly for a weekend get away. We have discussed building a retirement home on the property for many years casting about for plans and the right builder.
Once there was a break in our schedules we got serious in starting. We met with Robert and immediately felt like we had a connection and had picked the right builder. Contracting Robert at Craftmaster Homes was just the beginning of an extremely positive building experience.
We can say that Robert kept us “grounded” throughout the project and delivered a home well beyond our expectations. Everyone who has seen it seems to just love the place. From conception, to clearing, through the build, and all of the small things that come at the end, Robert was on time, flexible, professional and more than accommodating. He is extremely knowledgeable, and more importantly has that understanding of the hill country and how to build on raw land. Through this process we have gained a good friend and neighbor.
Both my wife & I highly recommend Robert without hesitation.

Nearly a decade ago we purchased a picturesque property in Wimberley with the dreams of someday building the perfect home. During that time we began evaluating several home builders in the area, searching for the one that could accommodate our need for a special home built at a reasonable price. Among the recommended builders was Craftmaster Homes, LC, and after meeting with Robert Luongo we immediately knew who would be building our home. Robert proved to have all the right relationships. From the architect, to the stone mason, to the landscaping subcontractor, we were never disappointed with any trade. Robert’s attention to detail and his care and concern for all aspects of the project were obvious and impressive. I know of no other general contractor that will rake gravel, cut tree limbs, or inspect a site at 2:00 a.m. for concern of weather conditions. It is this personal touch that sets Craftmaster apart. Building a custom home is challenging in so many ways. I cannot imagine how difficult it would have been without the professionalism and calm demeanor Robert exhibited throughout the process. We are extremely pleased with the finished product and it exceeds our expectations. We are very glad we relied on Robert’s recommendations and opinions. The home is striking and performs flawlessly. We offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to our friend and neighbor, Robert Luongo. I highly recommend Craftmaster Homes, LC to anyone intending to build a well-crafted custom home in the Texas hill country.
